Today is International Day of Older Persons and we celebrated our elderly by presenting care packages to all residents of six nursing homes on the island.
The Team was lead by Vice President Denise Armstrong who expressed our love and appreciation for our older folks and thanked them for the contribution they have made to society!
They were very receptive and happy and thanked the Club for remembering them.
The Theme of the 2022 commemoration is “Resilience of Older Persons in a Changing World’.
We have all experienced big changes in the last few years particularly with the Coronavirus pandemic and especially our older folks who had to be more resilient to survive!
In the next few days we take this program to our sister isle, Barbuda!
