District Governor Sonya Alleyne, paid a courtesy call to Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda, the Hon. Gaston Browne.
As part of her official duties to Antigua and Barbuda, Rotary’s District Governor (DG) for the Southern Caribbean and South America (District 7030), DG Sonya Alleyne, paid a courtesy call to Prime Minister, the Hon. Gaston Browne.
DG Sonya was accompanied by Assistant Governor Evangeline Allen and representatives of both the Rotary Club of Antigua and the Rotary Club of Antigua Sundown.
During the courtesy visit, Prime Minister Browne welcomed the visiting DG to Antigua and Barbuda and in the exchange of pleasantries, lauded the work of Rotary Clubs around the world,particularly with regards to in youth development initiatives and giving back to the less fortunateover the years. He also gave kudos to the Club for initiatives that were developed to help the general public cope with the COVID-19 pandemic.
DG Sonya pinned PM Browne with the Peace Pin, in commemoration of World Peace and Understanding Day which was recognized by Rotary International on February 23rd 2022.
