Over four thousand students from twenty- eight Government Primary Schools including Barbuda are the recipients of school supplies resulting from a collaboration between the Rotary Club of Antigua and the Antigua and Barbuda Students Association.

The distribution took place  during the second week in November, with students receiving items to include: exercise books, pens, pencils, school back packs, colouring books, crayons, markers, hand sanitizers, erasers and special needs kits.

Because of the large amount of schools, a few distributions were done at the various schools.
The students who benefited from this initiative range from Kindergarten to Grade 6.

President of the Rotary Club of Antigua, Joanna Spencer, noted that basic education and increasing literacy across the twin island state is one of the focus areas of the philanthropic organization.

In this regard she added that the Club is committed to giving back to the community in various areas.
