President Annette Mark of the Rotary Club of St. Vincent address the Club on the current situation of La Soufriere Volcano.
Wednesday was a special meeting for the members of the Rotary Club of Antigua. Ms. Annette Mark, President of the Rotary Club of St. Vincent and the Grenadines was our guest speaker. She gave a personalised, heartfelt and detailed account of the situation as it stands in St. Vincent and the Grenadines with the recent volcanic eruptions.
Amongst other things, President Annette spoke of the devastation to infrastructure, effects on children, pregnant women, persons with disabilities, and the lack of essentials such as water and food items.
We stand in solidarity with the people of St. Vincent and the Grenadines at this difficult time, and pledge our commitment to supporting relief efforts caused by the volcanic activity.
