Meet Rotarian Sherrie-Ann Brazier.
Muhammad Ali once said "Service to others is the rent you pay for your room here on earth." His words have been a part of why I serve.
My first interaction with the Rotary Club of Antigua came through the annual sponsorship of the Meals on Wheels. My second interaction would have been with my Rotary sponsor, who asked me "why don't you join Rotary?" Being naive, I responded that I didn't need Rotary to assist in the community. He countered and educated me on how, with Rotary, I could serve more.
Rotarians provide "service above self" to our community through our vocation. This is perhaps the underlining reason I became and continue to be a Rotarian. It's the opportunity to DO MORE, to continuously do good for others, the sense of self-fulfillment that comes in the process and the return of that satisfaction to one's own life.
