If all students in low-income countries left school with basic reading skills, 171 million people could be lifted out of poverty, which would be equivalent to a 12% cut in world poverty.
 
The Rotary Club of Antigua is committed to playing its role in improving basic education and literacy in Antigua and Barbuda. Our "back to school" initiative and annual Book Reading Competition are examples of our part in this development.
